The Quaker School at Horsham

The Quaker School: a warm, people-first school website

A website for a private school serving students with complex learning, behavioural or communication needs. A looping video hero, clear pathways and admissions routes help families decide if it is the right fit.

The product

What the site explains

The site explains individualised education from kindergarten to grade 12 plus a programme for students 18 and over, with specialist developmental and clinical support. Pages cover approach, specialist support, admissions, tuition and giving.

Cards present three pathways (K-8, Upper School and Real World Ready), upcoming open house events and a short is-this-the-right-fit section, with an Apply button always visible.

Design and experience

Warm and people-focused

A full-screen looping video with the headline Seen and valued opens the page, followed by large classroom photography, short rules between headings and card modules. The tone is warm and people-focused rather than institutional.

A scroll-to-explore cue, a mega-menu and a newsletter sign-up with a photo gallery complete the home page.

Build and discoverability

A Next.js front end with WordPress content

The front end appears to be Next.js, serving optimised WebP images, with WordPress as the content backend on a separate subdomain. Admissions applications link to a third-party school portal.

An accessibility page, contact details and social links sit in the footer.
